dreams are my reality

Post dedicated to Sebastian Chelwing.

"Star light, Star bright,
the first star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
have the wish I wish tonight."

So, hold on to your dreams. Dream big dreams, dream huge dreams, for dreams, are my reality. If we never do dream, we'll never get it. We'll never work towards it. So everyone, just leap. Take a great leap and just believe that you can soar, high, into the sky. For you never know, you might just be able to fly. Don't stop believing in yourself, don't stop believing in your abilities, don't stop believing. You might never know. Anything is possible.

"I hold it true, whate'er befall;

I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all."

Till then,

Pretty girl.

"LOVE, LIKE RAIN,

can nourish from above, drenching couples with a soaking joy. But sometimes, under the angry heat of life, love dries on the surface and must nourish from below, tending to it's roots, keeping itself alive."

Love. Isn't this what everyone ultimately seeks for in life? Love. It comes in many different forms. Love. Every parent's unconditional love towards their child. Love. The love between a man and a woman. Love. Brotherly love, sisterly love, love between siblings. Love. For friends. Love could even take on other forms. Love. Material love. Love. Love for animals, nature, sports... The list goes on and on.

The first two sentences of this post was taken from a book. My favourite book, "the five people you meet in heaven". Although it is fictional, it teaches us a lot. About love and most importantly, about life.

Isn't it true, that love is so much like the rain? It comes so suddenly, making you feel like the happiest person alive. Or it could leave just as abruptly, leaving your soul torn and your heart, broken. But most importantly, at times, the relationships between people and the love they share dies along the way. This is the time when one has to do something about it, to get back the love they've lost.

Isn't it such a pity when a man and a woman who once had a love so deep, to the point of believing that love can conquer all obstacles, falls apart just because they gave up, only to look back and realize how much those sweet memories and deep love for one another are still kept deep within their hearts, wanting so much to be released. Isn't it such a pity when a father and his son stops speaking to one another, over a trivial matter, only to have his son with a heart full of regret the day he stands by his father's grave, knowing that no amount of words would make up for those cold, silent years. Isn't it such a pity when two friends, who sworn that they'll be best friends till the end, walk past each other on the streets, without any acknowledgement anymore, just because they did not want to take a step forward, to break the silence.

In life, we often look back and we often regret the steps we made. We sometimes wallow in self-pity, thinking that we might probably be the most devastated person who had ever walked the planet. We feel bitter about things, we refuse to forgive and we keep living in the past, unwilling to move on. This is when, we miss out on all the little things and the people around that makes life so wonderful. I am guilty of that myself and I wouldn't deny it. But as years go by, one very important thing that I've learnt was to let go. One must learn to look back at things, be it a bad relationship or a bad experience and smile, knowing that they had the strength to move on. Also, to be able to take each and every one of their life experiences, learn from it and also grow from it.

“Love is patient; love is kind and envies no one. Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude; never selfish, not quick to take offence. There is nothing love cannot face; there is no limit to its faith, its hope, and endurance. In a word, there are three things that last forever: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of them all is love.”

Yes, the greatest of them all is love. Each day, each step we take, is just a step closer to finding love. Everyday we're just waiting, waiting for that special someone to come our way, to make water taste like honey and to fill our skies with heart-shaped clouds. Till you find your one true love, never neglect or forget the people around you. Love, as I've said, comes in many different forms. You would never know when someone else's love for you goes noticed just because you get too caught up in yourself.

The saddest of all, is when two people who have once shared a deep love, forget what it feels like to be head-over-heels in love, what it feels like when time stops when they look into their partner's eyes or even how love made them dizzy, looking like an idiot, smiling to themselves. They get so lost in their own worlds, obsessed about money making and climbing the ladder of success. They no longer see the importance in communication and time spent together. They forget. They neglect. They push love away. It is only when they have everything they could ever wish for, every material need satisfied, they then look around them, their expensive rosewood furniture, their huge screen television sets, state-of-the-art gadgets lying around, and then they look at themselves. Alone. They search their hearts only to face the cold hard truth that it is empty. Alone.

Lost love, is nonetheless still love. Just love, in a different way. "Lost love is still love. It takes a different form, that's all. You can't see their smile or bring them food or tousle their hair or move them around a dance floor. But when those senses weaken, another heightens. Memory. Memory becomes your partner. You nurture it. You hold it. You dance with it."

No matter what, the greatest of them all is love. It's in your hands, to keep love alive.

"LOVE, LIKE RAIN, can nourish from above, drenching couples with a soaking joy. But sometimes, under the angry heat of life, love dries on the surface and must nourish from below, tending to it's roots, keeping itself alive."
